10/1/2018 Anna is an owner surrender to GRRNT. She is brand new to GRRNT and is just settling into her foster home. We will know all about her soon.
PROFILE
Anna is a petite, very light colored Golden, weighing about 55 lbs., and she is a very sweet girl. She has a non-stopping wagging tail and she is always happy. She likes to cuddle and loves to be in the center of attention. Anna thinks she is a lap dog. She is house trained, and is good with other dogs and kids, but we have not seen her around cats.
She just loves to be around people and wants to get a lot of attention. If she sees you petting the other dog, she will run to you, and wants to be between you and the dog, asking you to pet her. If you are cooking in the kitchen, she will lie down by your feet. If you are taking a shower, she will be waiting in front of the shower for you. If you watch TV, she likes to cuddle with you. If you are stretching on the floor or doing yoga she would like to join you, and sometimes interrupts. She sleeps on a doggie bed next to the bed through the night, and she will wake up when you get up.
Anna likes her daily walks, too. Although she may be smaller for a Golden, she is strong and she does some pulling. She is working on improving her leash manners. The other thing she is working on is taking a treat gently. If she sees treats in your hand she gets so excited she cannot wait for the treat to be offered, and she tends to jump and try to get the treat. Because of this behavior, we feel a family with small children might not be suitable for her.
Anna's favorite activities:
Being around people
Snuggling with family
Getting a lot of attention
Daily walks
Playing/Running in the backyard (She wants someone to be with her when she is outside.)
Playing with a tennis ball.
Anna's ideal family will:
Give her a lot of attention
Have someone home with her at least part time
Continue to work with her on training
