Callie is an owner surrender to GRRNT due to her family's divorce. She is 15 years old and has quite a few health issues common to senior dogs. She has a heart murmur, and two very large fatty masses which cannot be removed since due to her age and heart murmur she is not a candidate for surgery.  She had middle ear infections that had not been treated, and was suffering from vestibular syndrom, which affects balance and makes her wobbly and causes a head tilt.  The ear infections are being treated now, and as the ears improve so does her balance.  Callie has entered GRRNT's Permanent Foster program with a wonderful foster mom taking care of her every need. Callie will remain under GRRNT's care for the rest of her life.

Sweet Callie passed away today peacefully at home with her loving foster family. She would have been 17 in April. We are so thankful to her foster family for giving her a loving home, we know she was loved and well cared for her last few years in their care.
