Honey is an 8-year-old Golden Retriever, her birthday is January 16, 2014.  She found herself in need of a new home due to one too-many noise complaints for the apartment complex she lived in. She has spent most of her life as an indoor, loved, and cherished Golden Retriever. Honey will need to be in a home without cats or birds.

Honey does suffer from mild allergies but is in otherwise good health. She is trustworthy when left alone, so long as there is not food within her reach. She will counter surf anything edible that she can reach with glee. She is an extremely food-motivated Golden Retriever. She's house trained and does well riding in a car. She does pull on a leash but that is something she is working on.

Honey would do well in an only-dog or in a multi-dog house. She would do well with children who can keep their toys, clothes, shoes, food, etc. picked up so she doesn’t have access to them. She will likely pick up toys and swipe their snacks if she can get to them. She needs a home that is committed to enforcing boundaries in order to keep her safe. She loves stuffed animals and anything that she can fit into her mouth. She is a playful and hilarious fur kid and a constant source of entertainment and laughter for us.

Honey is a quintessential Golden Retriever and demands love and affection nonstop. She sleeps in bed with us and is used to having furniture access. She loves a good belly rub and especially a good back scratch. Honey will be an excellent addition to a family that is ready to be owned by a Golden Retriever.
