PROFILE

Preston was turned over to GRRNT by elderly owners who only had him a few months. They realized he was too big and boisterous for them to manage. Preston showed weakness and pain in his hips and back, but he settled into his foster home and was very content. Preston had additional health issues arise so his foster family requested he be made a permanent foster rather than uproot him again and ask an adopter to deal with his increasing medical needs.

UPDATES

May 2014

We are sad to report that Preston has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge and is no longer with us. Since coming into GRRNT's Permanent Foster Program, his health continued to decline and his pain levels continued to increase. In late April 2014, a large, inoperable tumor was found in his pelvis region and the very difficult decision was made to say goodbye to Preston.

We extend our deepest thanks to Preston's Permanent Foster Family. They provided him with a wonderful home in his final years. We know he was well cared for, loved, and happy because of their efforts.
